PRL’s thermally broken Max aluminum framed sliding doors offer many benefits. Available as top hung and bottom roller systems, the patio sliders deliver generous views, energy efficiency, and thermally broken frames that prevent heat transfer. These door walls can be specified in several finishes, locking options, glass types, and pull handles.
We render thermally broken Max sliding doors with heavy duty aluminum frames in 76 mm (3 in.), 101.6 mm (4 in.), and 25.4 mm (1 in.) ultra-narrow stiles and oversizes.
The sliders are the only premier glass doors with the lowest profile sill and an AAMA rating for exterior use. Manufactured with nail fin technology, we produce the stacking and sliding configurations below.
For maximum thermal, weather, and sound protection, the Max is equipped with interlocking dual and quad seal stiles as well as mechanical drop seal systems. In addition, a thermal break in the doors’ seals maintains temperatures, while weatherstripping grants increased element protection.
AAMA and NFRC rated, these indoor/outdoor sliders are great for air and water infiltration, structural wind loads, seismic design, and hurricane impact resistance.
